In addition, guests are offered weekly private fitness and nutrition sessions to ensure that they have a clear plan of how to take care of themselves at home.

The mission of Skyterra Young Adult is to empower young adults, ages 18-29, to live healthy and valued lives through active and committed transformation.

Skyterra Young Adult's campus  is separated from social pressures and distractions. Nestled in the beauty of western North Carolina, our students find peace and serenity. Guests attend because they want to grow. Along with an inviting campus, we offer an environment full of support. Whether through morning and evening community discussions and events or the ability to navigate tricky group dynamics alongside your therapist, we maintain a healthy environment for our guests to focus on themselves. The program does not allow disrespect. The Skyterra Young Adult culture and environment is highlighted by respect, integrity, compassion, and personal growth through interpersonal relationship support.

The 12-acre campus consists of untouched forests, walking trails, a kitchen, dining area, bedrooms and living spaces, apartments, a sun deck, balconies with expansive mountain views, a community room, yoga yurt, and a gym space. We limit the amount of guests to keep the program small and to allow for individual attention.

The location is separated from social pressures and distractions. Here in the mountains, we enjoy the favorable weather for much of the year. For that reason, several of our classes and activities are designed to create a choice for outdoor experience.

We are lucky to be located in the land of waterfalls. Living in a temperate rainforest means that the summers are much cooler and less humid than what you may expect. Don’t let the word rainforest scare you,  the rain is predictable and our schedules are designed to accommodate weather changes. We do see low temperatures and occasional snow during the winter, but the season is relatively short. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 28°F to 83°F and is rarely below 15°F or above 89°F.

Skyterra Young Adult is located at 925 Pine Shore Drive, Brevard, NC 28712, one hour from Asheville, on a serene campus. Our unique location enables a full array of breathtaking outdoor activities nearly year-round.

The expert team at Skyterra Young Adult has more than 30 years of therapeutic program experience specializing in the transition to adulthood.

Our clinical team works with families to address family dynamics during weekly parent coaching calls. Parents learn skills and strategies for parenting a young adult with social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges.
